*ASYNC

The Learning Resources Center’s *ASYNC program provides students with flexible, self-paced learning resources designed to reinforce course concepts outside of the classroom. Originally developed for genetics courses, these modules combine concise content reviews, guided activities, practice exercises, and summary materials that help students build foundational knowledge and strengthen their understanding of challenging topics. Students can engage with the resources at their own pace, making them an accessible option for course support, exam preparation, and independent study. As the *ASYNC program expands, this same evidence-based approach to supplemental learning is being adapted for a broader range of subjects, helping students across disciplines access high-quality academic support whenever and wherever they need it.

*ASYNC Boost

Epidemiology students can now access Boost in a four part, asynchronous (*ASYNC) intensive course. Each part contains concepts that CU Denver professors have identified as being the ones students use the most or that tend to be more difficult. These parts have been designed to provide students with a good starting point for their PBHL 3001 course. Before or during the semester… brush up on your time and at your pace.

Enhance your understanding of key epidemiology course topics like the scientific method, 2x2 tables, fractions, study design, and other basic PBHL concepts. Select Parts 1 through 4 below.
