Make Education Work for All

At CU Denver, making education work for all means that everyone can find a fulfilling path to success. We believe expanding opportunities is an institutional and leadership imperative, and a value that guides everything we do. Becoming a serving institution means we are creating an educational environment where one’s social identity no longer predetermines educational outcomes and professional advancement opportunities. We recognize inequities among all underserved communities and strive to address them through multifaceted approaches that include policy and structural reforms, inclusive academic programming and research opportunities, inclusive hiring and retention practices, and mutually beneficial partnerships.

We aim to make education work for all by valuing, welcoming, supporting, and educating all people. We recognize that institutions are stronger and more innovative when their culture is inclusive, and their talent draws from the widest possible social and geographic areas.

The Office for People and Culture events, programs, and services are open to all CU Denver Community members. All are invited and encouraged to participate and live our inclusive values.

Through My Eyes

A photo essay that is unfolding before us as one of our uniquely talented students, Maab Taha, moves about the campus, taking advantage of the digital photography medium to capture what CU Denver means to her in all its complex glory!

A portrait of Maab Taha.

Undergraduate Student in Computer Science

President at the AI Student Association

IT Services Associate at the CEDC

Student Assistant at the Chancellor’s Office

I came to CU Denver as a Computer Science student, but over time, I’ve found myself becoming part of the university in many different ways. Through my work, research, student organizations, and the communities I’ve been part of, I’ve had the chance to experience different corners of campus and meet people from many different backgrounds. Photography gives me a way to slow down and pay attention to those experiences, to capture the people, places, and moments that have shaped what CU Denver means to me.
