Pivot-RP
About Pivot-RP
The university now has access to the funding opportunity search engine Pivot-RP. You can access Pivot-RP here: Pivot-RP | Pivot-RP (proquest.com).
Pivot-RP is a comprehensive tool that will search for funding opportunities AND potential collaborators. All faculty members should have had profiles set up for them in Pivot-RP by Clarivate, the company that owns Pivot-RP. Once a faculty member claims their profile, they can choose to have Pivot-RP send a weekly email with funding opportunities tailored to their research background. The more detail provided in a Pivot-RP profile, the better the search results will be. Faculty can also do custom funding searches and have emails sent on a weekly basis for them.
If you have questions or need help with Pivot-RP, please email research@ucdenver.edu.
Faculty claim (or create) their Pivot-RP profile, then upload a PDF CV, link their ORCID, and select keywords from Pivot-RP’s taxonomy. The richer your profile, the more accurate your matches.
Adding your ORCID ID to your Pivot-RP profile allows you to import your publications automatically, which helps Pivot-RP refine the information it sends to you. If you need help setting up your ORCID ID, instructions are below.
Once your profile is claimed, Pivot-RP will auto-curate opportunities for you. You can also run one-off keyword searches and save them for recurring alerts. Pivot-RP will also let you do a semantic search, which can help if you are not getting good results with keywords.
Pivot-RP emails you weekly with personalized funding matches based on your profile. You can also opt into update notices whenever your saved searches pick up new hits.
From any opportunity, Pivot-RP surfaces potential collaborators-both on our campus and beyond. Names are drawn from whoever’s claimed and fleshed out their profiles, so the more detail you give, the better the suggestions.
