Faculty Reappointment, Tenure, and Promotion
Faculty at CU Denver undergo rigorous review processes guided by departmental bylaws and criteria. Faculty Affairs oversees campuswide policies and procedures, and this section outlines guidelines governing key faculty reviews and events.
Post-Tenure Review
Post-tenure review is required of all tenured faculty every five years. These reviews are conducted by departments and dean’s offices, and submitted to the Office of Faculty Affairs and Professional Development.
Faculty Titles and Ranks
There are different faculty titles and ranks that exist at CU Denver. These titles include Tenured/Tenure-Track Faculty, Instructional, Research, and Clinical Faculty, and Lecturers.
