Strengthening Faculty Shared Governance
Developed as part of CU Denver’s commitment to strengthening governance practices, the Office of Faculty Affairs and Professional Development created a report summarizing findings from an assessment of faculty governance across the institution. The results informed subsequent recommendations and continue to support conversations about effective faculty engagement and shared decision-making.
CU Denver’s Progress on Shared Governance Work
CU Denver has undertaken a multi-year effort to strengthen faculty shared governance across its colleges, schools, and the Auraria Library. This work reflects a shared commitment among faculty, academic leaders, and the administration to foster meaningful faculty engagement, ensure compliance with Regent laws and policies, and support governance structures that meet the unique needs of each academic unit. CU Denver remains committed to continuous assessment and improvement.
