Types of Scholarships

Merit-based: These scholarships are usually based on your GPA, grades, and/or sometimes who you are as a person/personal experience.

Need-based: Scholarships that are usually based on your financial need. Often this is determined with FAFSA completion.

Private: Scholarships offered and funded by private organizations, individuals, or foundations. Generally, the private organization determines recipients, not CU Denver.
