Want to win a scholarship for the spring 2027 semester?
Register by Monday, December 7 and be entered into a drawing for a $500 scholarship.
Why Register Early?
Your spring schedule starts with you! Register early to secure your spot in the classes you need, stay on track for graduation, and head into winter break with one less thing to worry about.
- Lock in your classes before sections fill up.
- Build a schedule that works for you! Plan around work, family, and everything else.
- Avoid graduation delays caused by missed courses or registration issues.
- Get spring registration taken care of before winter break and feel confident when you return.
Who Qualifies?

Registration FAQs
Log into CUAccess, review your registration date and time, clear any holds, select your classes, and complete registration.
Visit our Register for Classes page for step-by-step registration guidance and video resources.
Your individual registration date and time are listed in your CUAccess Student Portal. Registration appointments are based on completed credit hours.
Log in to CUAccess and review the hold or alert listed on your account. The action required depends on the type of hold. Some may require you to complete an item, meet with your advisor, resolve a financial balance, or contact another university office.
You can schedule an advising appointment through CUAccess by selecting the Advisor icon in your Student Center or using the Make an Appointment option. Advising is generally provided through your school or college.
Meet with your academic advisor and review your degree plan before registering. Your advisor can help you understand degree requirements, course sequencing, and which classes will keep you on track toward graduation. You can also review your degree audit in CUAccess to review your degree progress.
Check whether the course offers a waitlist. If it does, you can add yourself to the waitlist through CUAccess. If a seat becomes available, eligible students may be automatically enrolled based on their position on the waitlist.
Waitlisted classes will appear on your billing statement, although tuition is not due until Census each semester. Waitlists are purged before Census. If you are still on a class waitlist when it is purged, you will receive a tuition adjustment.
Registering for classes and paying your bill are separate steps. Students can review semester-specific billing deadlines in the CU Denver billing calendar and view their balance in CUAccess.
A financial hold may prevent registration depending on the amount owed. To enroll, your prior-term balance must be below $1,500, and your account cannot be placed with an external collection agency. Additional information about past-due accounts.
