Online & In Person LEAD Workshops
Each year students have the opportunity to attend over 20 one-time LEAD workshops to learn about a variety of topics.
We partner with various presenters from across campus such as the Career Center, the Center for Access and Campus Engagement (CACE), Office of Equity, the Ethnic Studies Department, area non-profits and our Student Life staff. Example topics include:

Leadership is best developed through experience, conversation, and reflection. Our in-person leadership opportunities provide students with practical skills they can immediately apply in the classroom, workplace, and beyond.
Whether you’re looking for a one-time immersive experience through our Leadership on Stage series or personalized support through one-on-one leadership coaching, these opportunities are designed to help you grow as a leader in a way that fits your schedule and goals.
Leadership On Stage
What do Broadway musicals, animated classics, and leadership have in common? More than you might think.
Leadership on Stage transforms the lessons found in unforgettable stories into practical leadership skills you can use every day. Through interactive presentations, discussion, and reflection, you'll explore themes like communication, resilience, teamwork, conflict, and purpose. All through the lens of characters and stories you already know and love.
Whether you're a lifelong theater fan or just looking for a fresh approach to leadership, Leadership on Stage offers a fun, engaging, and memorable way to discover what kind of leader you want to become. Open to all students!

Leadership on Stage is an interactive leadership experience that combines storytelling, discussion, and hands-on activities to explore leadership in a fresh and engaging way. Each session centers around a unique theme inspired by a musical, film, or story, using memorable characters and moments to introduce practical leadership concepts.
The series includes five workshops, each exploring a different leadership skill and perspective. To successfully complete the program, participants are expected to attend at least four of the five workshops. While each session can stand on its own, attending multiple workshops allows students to build on previous lessons and gain a deeper understanding of leadership.

No theater experience is required! Just bring an open mind, a willingness to participate, and a desire to grow as a leader.
