Advocate for Change

Have you been told you have leadership potential? Are you looking to grow as a leader while making a difference through community service? The ACE Program may be for you.

Advocates for Community Service (ACE) is a yearlong, asynchronous cohort focused on leadership development through community engagement. Students partner with local nonprofits, choose an organization to support, and complete a capstone project that helps move the organization forward.

Why Join ACE?

Students not only develop leadership skills, they create deep meaningful connections with their peers, develop career readiness skills, life skills, and professional development.

Through partnerships with organizations, students gain cultural competence and cultural humility while immersing themselves in volunteer experiences. The capstone project identifies an improvement for the organization, whether focused on volunteers, business planning, or other areas of impact.

What Will I do?

In this class you will:

  • Discuss with classmates on the book as well as diving deeper into real world examples of your own life
  • Complete 50 hours of community service
  • Complete your final reflection of your leadership journey and service
