CU Denver employs approximately 2,000 student employees every year for on-campus positions that range from front desk assistants, researchers, tour guides and more! The overall operations of our campus would not be possible without student employees. Searching for student employment positions, applying, and building valuable skills just got easier with the new addition of the Student Employment Office. 

Created within the last year, the Student Employment Office is a new student resource located within LynxConnect. Its purpose is to foster meaningful work experiences that contribute to student learning, skill development, and overall well-being. Through partnerships across campus and within the broader community, the Student Employment Office expands access to opportunities and intentionally supports students in early and ongoing career engagement. 

The Student Employment Office offers: 

• 1-on-1 assistance in looking for on-campus jobs in all steps of the process—from searching for the right job, to polishing your resume
• Answers to questions about the work-study process and eligibility
• Professional development opportunities for both student employees and faculty/staff supervisors
• Coaching related to career readiness and transferable skills—preparing you to transfer your skills from your on-campus job to a post-grad career
• Connection to Human Resources—understand available resources, navigate employment requirements, and connect you with additional support where needed

How to get started with student employment:

• Make an appointment in Handshake to meet with our Student Employment Manager, Danny Young

• Stop by for drop-in hours in LynxConnect every Tuesday and Wednesday from 1 to 3 p.m.

Where to find us:

We are located in the LynxConnect office (Tivoli Annex 439). To find our office, you can enter though the courtyard across from iPie. 

We are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
